He drew in a deep breath and caught her scent. “Yeah, rules.” Although, really, there weren’t many. “First rule, no one controls me.” Ever.

Her mouth opened ever more. “But—”

He kissed her. Took her mouth with his tongue and his lips like he’d been fantasizing about for the last half hour. And, damn, but the witch tasted good. Sweet, hot. Fucking incredible. Her tongue moved against his, tentatively at first, as if she were almost afraid to respond.
